Need to market a product ? Celebrity Endorsement !!!!! HMG

The advertising and marketing industry have been using celebrities since the early 1800s to represent their products or services, approximately  20% of all TV commercials feature a celebrity. Furthermore, they have noticed an increase in product recognition, sales and customer attention when a celebrity is used, due to the image the celebrity presents advertisers try to correlate the product with the celebrity’s fame, personality and charisma allowing the customers to identify themselves through personal interaction with the star. Celebrities are highly effective in advertising because most of the clients already have a platonic relationship or have some sort of familiarization with the celebrity which creates trust and thus confidence in the product.
Companies unfortunately don’t possess an integrated system nor a data base with all available celebrity information from which it would allow them to select the most compatible one for their product. Therefore, they hire an intermediary that takes care of that for them. This is where HMG comes in; they have elaborated a complex database where they have filed everything from political inclinations to personality profiles regarding celebrities. Their mission is to present the most appropriate celebrities that connect with the product and offers an image that can enhance the product placement and opportunities. In addition, HMG also has a list and range of prices that celebrities charge for their endorsements which presents a tactical benefit in planning and budgeting any company’s advertisement plan.
Having a celebrity endorsing your product is always going to improve awareness when it comes to captivating customer attention. Like said earlier before, in today world of advertising it’s almost a requirement to have a celebrity on board with your product and even more if your competition has one. A familiar face is always going to be swiftly recognized and accepted. Furthermore, the product is going to be considered in a more a personal matter due to your existing thoughts and image of the celebrity. For example, if there is a commercial regarding the promotion and sale of an exercise machine with a group of regular athletic persons you would probably just breeze through the channels just as you always have. In contrast, if it were Jessica Biel, Megan Fox and Kim Kardashian promoting the exercise machine, I guarantee you that not only you will stop to watch the complete program but you’ll end up picking up the phone and ordering the product.

Identity Theft, Cookies, Scams, Fraud - Who Should We Blame?

For decades it has been a constant struggle to prevent and control identity theft. It’s considered to be a major problem here in the United States and because of credit opportunities it can greatly affect a person in many different aspects of their lives. How do you know you’re safe? You Don’t. Most people that have been victims of identity theft don’t even realize or are aware that it happened. However, by viewing periodically your credit reports you can notice or see any suspicious activity that immediately stands out. Contacting the proper authorities to get this issued resolved as soon as possible is a must.

Since the internet emerged it has been responsible for more than half of identity thefts occurrences in the U.S due to scams, fraudulent surveys, etc. Many organizations and companies have been motivated to encourage people to carefully review the source of where they are submitting their information. Furthermore, they have taken proper measures into integrating and employing new strategies in order to prevent criminal behavior through the internet for the near future. For example, establishing a recognized symbol that represents security like the one above in order to confide information between the company and the consumers, this would definitely assist in stopping internet hoax and create trust with the consumers.

Cookies also play a great part in internet corruption. They consist of advertisements that are targeted to the individual according to their preferences in products, websites and other detailed information. How do you know which one’s you can trust? Soon enough, through NAI, they have designed an Opt Out of Behavioral Advertising system that identifies and examines those member companies that have placed an advertising cookie file on your computer allowing you to accept and reject the wanted and unwanted advertising media that is directed to you.

It sounds complex. Nevertheless, I believe within time consumers will have a better understanding of the securities measures and services that are emerging in order to protect ourselves. Eventually it will be requirement to have knowledge of this since security is considered to be a really important necessity.

Fight Crime without a Gun or a Badge? Internet Eyes!!!

It’s incredible what technology has been able to deliver, this innovative product puts us all in a position where we can monitor live feed video from a store or a retailer and observe if the customers are enacting any delinquency behavior, you are rewarded every time you catch somebody performing a misdeed . Can you imagine that? Nevertheless, I have doubts as far as the effectiveness of this product or service because no matter how many people are spying or watching in the store, you can’t compare professionally trained security personnel with regular people just watching the screen of a computer. Maybe if the store had both this would certainly complement the security of the store.

Some communities are responding quite well to this type of business others believe they should leave this job up to professionals. I believe this is a great business idea, and definitely has potential to grow and become successful. Furthermore, shoplifting is never going to stop it is a constant problem in today retailers and merchandise stores. Nevertheless, having thousands of eyes controlling every activity that takes place within the store is going to help control and reduce theft not only from customers, but from employees as well. Besides being a great service for companies and business it’s also going to create job opportunities for those people who need a little extra cash on the side. I’m pretty sure you won’t be able to support a family working as a viewer on internet eyes, yet surely some money will be earned.

Technology Is Our Future

As you know technology is taking over the world, the internet has been the gateway to many new innovations and services leading us everyday closer to a more modernized world. Technology has abolished and deteriorated slowly our way of doing things. Our habits and customs have also been altered, for example, when was the last time you saw somebody reading a newspaper? or watch the weather channel ? or even send a hand written letter? Furthermore, it’s responsible for the downfall of many tangible media companies, video stores, book stores, etc.

Although for some people these may seem as a negative situation, for many others it is viewed as something good, it all depends on the perception and view of the person. For example, thanks to technology they came up with a device that can store hundreds of media books, what does this mean? No more carrying books, no cutting down trees and ease of access. On the contrary, for bookstores and processing plants this would mean fewer jobs and fewer customers, which affects them greatly.

Moreover, technology’s main objective is to facilitate and improve our daily way of living. I believe that people and businesses should stop complaining about all the things technology has taken from them and instead do something about it, be proactive, work with the flow. We all know that this is a new era; therefore it is crucial for companies to start thinking constructively and to prepare themselves for what is near. It is important for companies to adapt to this new world or they will stay behind and eventually demise over time.

Technology is the future; it won’t cease to exist and only seeks to improve and create. So be sensible to it and embrace for it is our destination and the journey there depends on the actions we take and the decisions we make.

" One's destination is never a place but rather a new way of looking at things."
Henry Miller quotes (American Author and Writer, 1891 - 1980)

An Optimistic Attitude Never Hurts

Boeing's lack of insight regarding the answer letter for little Harry could have cost them more than negative word of mouth, although it did not affect directly their revenue or sales, it surely did affect their image. When a company reacts negatively towards a customer most likely the customer will respond back with the same attitude. It's only logical, for every action there is a reaction. Furthermore, their lack of optimism and encouragement could definitely affect a child’s passion for certain things. Picture it like this, imagine Boeing giving a positive response to Harry’s airplane models and concepts, wouldn’t that motivate the kid to pursue greatness? How do they know if this kid in 15 years is not going to be a revolutionary airplane designer with groundbreaking ideas? They don’t. And because of the negative response, little Harry decided to work for their competitor “Air Bus”. Wouldn’t that be a sight?

It’s incredible to see how such a small thing like this can impact such a big company, we thank the internet for it’s capability of connecting millions of people who share, thoughts, ideas, feedback and opinions. To certain extent, it brings justice and truth to those who seek it.

I believe that Boeing should have been more sensible to Harry; the consequences of negativity are always going to outweigh any positive action. Good thing they realized this and decided to rewrite a more appropriate letter for this situation.
